I am a husband, father, minister, saltwater fisherman, foodie, and most recently an author. The title of my new book is “What Happened to Our Church, And Where Do We Go From Here?” I am also the Director of Missions for the Peninsula Baptist Association www.peninsulabaptist.org. In that role I coach pastors and church planters, consult with churches and coordinate ministry opportunities for over 60 churches in the Virginia Peninsula area.

In my role as consultant I walk churches through the process of clarifying their vision for the future, develop strategy, improve their retention of first time guests, and deal other issues that promote growth and health. Though my focus is on the churches within our association, I am available to consult with churches beyond that network as well.

In the area of church planting we are beginning a church planting movement in our region. I have extensive training in assessing church planting candidates, coaching church planters, and helping church plants walk through the strategic process.

Though I have no formal expertise in marketing, I am intensely interested in how churches can better market the message of Jesus Christ. You will notice that many of my posts deal with good and bad examples of marketing.
